Welcome Wordpress
I’ve been using Drupal for about 2 and a half year now. Don’t get me wrong, I love it, but it is just too heavyweight for my needs. It turns out, that after all this time, I just need a simple blog that is easy to maintain and run and has all of the web 2.0ish things that I’m into these days. So welcome in Wordpress. Wordpress has everything I need – multimedia support, web 2.0 friendliness, mobile theming, and xmlrpc for the always important posts on the go. Yes, I know, Drupal can support all that, but I just cannot find the motivation to set it up and make it go.
For the moment, all of my old posts will still be available at http://cosmicpenguin.net/drupal. Marc will be helping me import the posts into Wordpress for easy searching, but lets face it, they weren’t that great.
So, away we go with Wordpress. Good luck to me.
